MPC addresses the challenges of pet ownership transfer by eliminating microchip registration and the need for physical paperwork.
There is no efficient method to transfer pet ownership between animal rescues, new owners, or foster parents without risking lost records or the need to re-register microchips or tracking numbers.
Transferring a pet's profile information, photos, tracking numbers, veterinarian contact details, pre-existing conditions, feeding instructions, grooming profiles, vaccination records, medical records, health certificates, rabies certificates, or AKC records currently requires exchanging physical paperwork.
Transferring ownership is an essential step in finding loving homes for pets. MPC simplifies the process into three easy steps thanks to its patent-pending technology.
MPC streamlines the adoption process by eliminating microchip registration for new pet parents. This ensures no more worrying about misplaced vaccination records, medical records, or health certificates. Most importantly, this process prevents over-vaccinating pets.
To transfer ownership, all you need is the new pet parent's email address. The email can be their registered MPC email or any other email for anyone not currently registered with MPC.

Yes, indeed! For a Basic subscription, My Pet Credentials is 100% free for foster parents. We've packed a lot of technology into the basic package, including our one-of-a-kind lost and found service. In addition, unlimited family and foster pet profiles can be managed.
Our Premium subscription costs $23.95 per year. This allows all foster parents to take advantage of three additional very useful features. Keeping track of your foster pets' medical records, health certificates, rabies certificates, AKC certificates, and vaccination records. Accepting the transfer of ownership of a new family member or foster pet digitally and allowing your veterinarian to upload and verify the vaccination records of your foster pet.
The only difference is where you create your pet profiles. Many pet owners foster pets for rescues and shelters and some foster parents don’t have pets of their own. Where you create a pet profile is critical in case the pet is lost and found. You can add a pet as “My Pets” or “Foster Pets”
The system keeps these categories separate for clarity and identification purposes to ensure the lost & found profile is displayed properly to those searching for the pet.
Simply log into your MPC account, click “Add a Pet,” as a Foster Pet and enter the pet’s information:
Absolutely! Foster parents can upload and store:
You can create a Found Pet Profile as a Foster Pet in My Pet Credentials and assign the microchip or rabies tag ID as a tracking number.
If the original owner searches for their lost pet via Google, social media, or mpclost.com by entering a tracking number, your foster pet’s profile will appear, making a quick reunion possible.
